Fitting
FLOORS
See specific documentation for details
- Choice of material:
As lift floors are subject to particularly high wear, hard materials are essential (most materials in the standard Fiberstone range meet this requirement) or appropriate upkeep should be allowed for.
Fiberstone can help you select a suitable material.
- Fitting
- Preparation:
- Surfaces must be uniform, flat, stable, clean, free of dust and grease.
- Thickness compensation: may be fitted on plywood floor panels.
- Thickness take-up: either by raising the existing sill or fitting a stainless steel thickness take-up sill (supplied by Fiberstone).
- The leading edge of the panel must always be protected.
- Fitting:
- Adhesive: Spreadable polyurethane glue (supplied by Fiberstone in 6 kg pots).
- Spread the glue using a 200 mm spreader with 3 mm teeth. Spread the glue evenly.
- Leave for approx. 30 minutes before fitting the panel.
- Typical consumption: 1.8 kg/m2.
- Commissioning:
- If the floor has no joints, it is possible to walk on it immediately to continue work.
- Wait at least 24 hours after fitting before fully commissioning the lift.
- Wait at least 5 days after fitting before using the cabin for furniture removal.
- Pointing:
- If the floor is in several sections, fill the joints with a coloured polyurethane sealant (supplied by Fiber STONE).
- Mosaic floors:
- Fiberstone can produce a stone mosaic composition (friezes, logos, compass roses, etc.) and supply the floor in a single section. In this case the thickness is approx. 11 mm
PARTITIONS
- Choice of material:
- All types of stone, marble and granite.
- Dimensions:
- All dimensions possible up to 2200 x 1200 mm.
- Layout:
- Vertical and horizontal panels can be specified
- Fitting
- Preparation:
- Surfaces must be uniform, flat, clean, free of dust and grease.
- Fitting :
- Adhesive beads of polyurethane glue (supplied by Fiberstone in 310 ml cartridges).
- If the Fiberstone panels do not stand on the floor, place them on blocks while the glue sets.
- Use a glue gun to apply 5 mm beads of sealant, approx. every 15 cm, spaced out depending on panel dimensions.
- Apply the Fiberstone hc 9 panels, pressing the entire surface down in order to flatten the beads correctly.
- Maintain the panels in place on wooden blocks for the first few hours.
- consumption : approx. 6 ml for a 310 ml cartridge.
- Commissioning:
- Wait at least 24 hours after fitting before fully commissioning the lift.
- Pointing:
- The heights of Fiberstone hc 9 panels are chamfered, enabling them to be placed with a minimum 0.5 mm joint. Angle panels should be overlapped.
